Before we named our colours, we looked around us. Udupp Color Lab grew from paying attention to the things that fill a day in India.

Our roots are in Bharath. In its everyday rituals, its landscapes, its many cultures, and its ability to imagine something extraordinary.
We wanted our colours to carry something of that world. Something you could recognise, remember, and make your own.
Inspired by the nation itself
Each name is a small way into a bigger story.
Moon Cream looks towards India’s lunar ambitions and the achievement of Chandrayaan. A quiet shade carrying the courage to reach beyond the familiar. Zero Grey honours India’s contribution to the development of zero: a mathematical idea that opened up extraordinary possibilities.
Indigo Blue draws from India’s indigo textile heritage. Holi Pink carries the spirit of a celebration where colour becomes something we share.
Then there are the colours we almost know by taste. Jalebi Orange, fresh from the sweet shop. Mango Gold, full of summer. Chilli Red, familiar to kitchens across the country. Paan Green, drawn from the glossy betel leaf. Jamun Wine, recalling the deep fruit stains on our tongues.
Beyond our streets and homes, the landscape offers its own palette. Himalayan Blue draws from mountain skies and ice. Monsoon Blue holds the depth of rain-heavy clouds. Peacock Teal takes its cue from the shifting richness of a peacock’s feathers.
Together, these shades bring everyday memories, natural elements, heritage, and achievement into one collection.
